Sarcastic Movie Review: Extraction

Share what the Fox Says:

If I were to give you just one reason why you should be watching the Netflix action flick, Extraction staring Chris Hemsworth it would be this:

Nowhere else will you be able to see Thor slap around a bunch of malnourished kids for even thinking that some guns and crude weapons were enough to put them on the same playing field as a demigod.

Extraction is solid action flick, with visceral and aptly brutal fights, a coherent and engaging story, and likable performances from all the leads, even the child actors.

Now I could sit here telling you all the generic points about why it’s a solid film but instead let me tell you why Extraction stands out from the rest.

The Fresh Setting

India has the second largest population in the world, and its neighbor Bangladesh is a country drenched in poverty. So guess what they have Crime!

It was truly refreshing for Hollywood to have a fresh new group of drug lords rather than the typical Mexican cartels or the Chinese triads you see in every other Movie.

The Flawed Hero

In Extraction Chris Hemsworth plays Tyler Rake, who in many ways plays your typical action hero that can clear a room of ten guys single-handed with a broken cup (He seriously does that in the movie!). But Unlike your typical action Hero, He also has many flaws including a death wish that makes it more believable that he would put himself in these dangerous situations.
