Looking back I got to admit, Thanos did a lot of things wrong. His whole reason for snapping away half the population of the universe was because there weren’t enough resources. But if that was the case why didn’t he just double all the resources in the galaxy or use his magical snap wish so that creatures didn’t have to use so many resources instead.
I’m starting to think the grape flavored titan was a bit of a moron. But whatever the case maybe, you have to agree he made a damn fine and threatening villain. And whoever decides to take up the main villain role next has some big shoes to fill.
With the release of WandaVision it finally feels like the MCU has re-entered our lives. So what better time to speculate the possible candidates for the MCU’s next big bad.
Now that Thanos has been dealt with, how about someone roughly the same size and shape, but only Blue instead of purple? With Disney acquiring the rights of the X-men franchise, we will soon see mutants in the MCU, including hopefully Apocalypse: the first Mutant.
Apocalypse, is as overpowered as they come with a grab-bag of overpowered mutant powers such as energy and matter manipulation, invulnerability, regeneration, shape shifting and freaking Immortality.
And him looking a bit like a blue Thanos should help those who miss the mad titan too much.
Dr. Doom? the walking metal mannequin from the horrendous Fan4stic (2015) movie, easily the worst superhero movie on the planet and the reason most fantastic four fan boys cry themselves to sleep at night.
Well yes, but a more comic accurate version. Dr. Doom maybe the most human villain on this list, but don’t let that fool you. Along with his Energy absorption and projection powers, Dr. Doom is also strangely well versed in demonic summoning, dark mysticism and sorcery.
That’s not taking into account his most dangerous power of all: Diplomatic Immunity!
Along with being a dark sorcerer, holding a doctorate and cosplaying the ‘man in the iron mask’ he’s also the leader of the sovereign nation of Latvia and benefits from all the bureaucratic red tapes that come with it.
Time travel is already in the MCU, which honestly is always a weird can of worms to open up. And what’s weirder than a time-traveling warlord who wears an old purple TV as a helmet. As much as that sounded like a mad-lib, it’s a pretty accurate description of Khan the conqueror.
