The 7 iconic Batmobile that has graced the Silver Screen along with Batman

Share what the Fox Says:

The Batmobile is as iconic to the Batman Mythos as Batman’s pointy ears or Batman’s many many love affairs. With the arrival of the new movie ‘The Batman’ 2022 we are also getting a brand new version of the Bat-mobile. Quiet a gorgeous one at that.

But let us first take a look at the various versions of the Batmobile that came before it, and how we reached the current Muscle car version.

Batman: The Movie (1966)

While the Batmobile did exist before the 1960’s Batman TV show and Comic’s this iteration of the vehicle is what really solidified the Batmobile in the Batman Mythos. And what a good looking car it is. Even 50 years down the line this Batmobile still looks sleek and Iconic.

Batman (1989) & Batman Returns (1992)

The 1989 Batman movie introduced us to another Iconic version of the Batmobile, this time with an all-black, Sleek and curvy design. It was bigger than a cruise ship though, and how it made corners is anyone’s guess.(Oh, it had a Car-Grapple-Hook)

Batman Forever (1995)

So this is where the Batmobile starts to go a bit too far, and the impracticality of the design makes you wonder if the car was more of a fashion statement than a cool superhero weapon. Hey but there’s nothing wrong with that, I guess a giant fin on a car represents a shark…er… I mean bat.

Batman and Robin (1997)

This Batmobile from 1997’s “Batman and Robin” is very bright and neon and very tacky. But was still somehow not the worst part about this movie. That would be the visible bat-nipples.

Batman: Dark Knight Trilogy (2005-2014)
