Homelander (Superman but an Insane Spoiled Man-child)

The Boys is one of those shows that makes us go, Maybe we’re not as de-sensitized as we thought we were. And it being a superhero show it has its own version of the Justice League lead by their own insane superman clone: Homelander.

Unlike most others on this lists Homelander is not an alien, but he does have the power set and general aesthetics of Superman. But were they do differ is in their personalities.

While Superman is a boy scout who stands for Justice and hope, Homelander is a Narcissistic, Hedonistic douchebag that throws temper tantrums when things don’t go his way, often killing a few people in the process.

Omniman (Superman but a Tyrant with a Darwinian Philosophy)

Omniman from the Invincible universe is a lot more than just Superman with a sexy Mustache. While he sports a lot of the same power sets as superman, and has been on earth for a while he arrived as a fully grown adult, and unbeknownst to most arrived here not as a protector but as a conqueror.

Omniman is a Vilturmite, race of warriors and planetary conquerors from the planet Viltrum. They have a very Darwinian outlook where the strong shall rule and weak shall die. This makes Omniman, like Homelander more of a Villain. 

But unlike Homelander, Omniman is not an idiot or a man-child. He’s intelligent and ruthless in the execution of his plans and gives us a look at just how terrifying someone at Superman’s power level can be.
