5 Most Iconic Serial Killers in Movie History

Share what the Fox Says:

While the many sequels of the Halloween series took Michael and his creepy mask down many different rabbit holes. Turning him supernatural, to crazy to just being pure evil before declaring most of it as non cannon, one cannot deny the effect the original Halloween had in ‘shaping’ the serial killer genre. Also he was Originally meant to just be called the Shape.

Jigsaw – Saw

Jigsaw is a different kind of serial killer. He doesn’t just kill people, he tortures them. He puts them in situations where they have to make impossible choices, and if they don’t choose correctly, they die. He’s not just going to kill you, he’s going to make it seem like you have hope.

To be fair his whole ideology does mean  that you can survive his traps but only at the loss of something important to you, like a hand or an eye. and honestly most of the time it’s more likely you die because you weren’t listening to the instructions.

Hannibal Lecter – The Silence of the Lambs

You’d think being a psychologist would understand the importance of therapy, and would maybe be one of the jobs that help us to understand serial killers. Not the case with Dr. Hannibal Lector from the silence of the Lambs. He went for a more if you can’t beat them, join them kind of motif.

Dr. Lector is elegant, highly intelligent, well-spoken and oh a cannibal. Yeah that last one is a deal breaker, but he’s not some philistine. You can be sure he will cook you up to perfection and pair you with the finest wine before he decides to dig into you.
