In a time long past, there used to be more kingdoms of man than that of Gods. While the gods usually ruled with their personal power, humanity maintained their kingdoms through unity and numbers. But as time passed the immortal Gods grew more powerful while human kings and queens perished, with the kingdoms of the Gods growing untouchable due to their leaders the Humans were for forced to make fickle alliances among themselves to compete with the godly nations, But these alliances never lasted very long, with each king believing they would be the next to ascend to immortality, it often dissolved into Great wars among the parties involved.
Then came the last of the Great Wars, ending with the Trojan War. The last of the few remaining kingdoms ruled by human kings were all in the Greek continent. At the end of this War there were no real victors. Even though the united Greek forces defeated the Trojan armies, the continent was in ruins. Soon the remaining Greek nations were pushed into civil war. Finally, Zeus declared the Greeks were too violent to be left under human rule and sent his General to claim the continent, Dionysus the god of Wine. Today the Greek continent no longer exists. The entire area has been united under Dionysus as the kingdom of Bacchus, with the Wine god himself joining the ranks of the Olympian Gods.
