Sarcastic Anime Review: Cannon Busters

Share what the Fox Says:

Cannon busters is the latest anime offering on Netflix which is now turning into the easiest place to access anime for casual viewers of the Media, and so every anime that appears on the streaming service gets better visibility than most of their peers in the western world. And truth be told that’s the only reason I started watching it myself.

okay the name was pretty cool too

But the reason I kept watching it was for its opening song! I know a weird reason right but it’s partly true. Have you heard it! I don’t remember the last time I so thoroughly enjoyed the opening track to a show, I mean not since swat cats has an opening OST got me this hooked (it’s called Showdown by Marty Grimes and BJRNCK for those who are curious)

Cannon buster is basically ‘Cowboy Bebop’ meets ‘Trigun’ with a hint of ‘Baccano’, and now for those among you who don’t follow anime and think I wrote gibberish that’s ‘Mad Max’ meets a spaghetti western with a hint of transformers. And as weird a combination as that sounds, it works.

The core cast consists of 2 androids and an immortal cowboy who rides around a sci-fi reimagining of the old west in a pink car that transforms into a Mecha Minotaur. Now those of you who found nothing interesting in that past sentence, can I just say this show is probably not for you but for the rest I can assure you it only gets stranger the more you go down this rabbit hole.
