Sarcastic Anime Review: Cannon Busters

This doesn’t make you a bit curious

I think the word that most represents this show would be ‘Quirky’ and I like it that way. In a world of bland repetitive shows that offer the same story arcs on repeat quirky is a breath of fresh air. The world is a bright and colorful one with an all-around cheery atmosphere but it’s not above taking a turn to the dark side and deaths are common all around. I mean the main character ‘Philly the Kid’ is Immortal and a lot of the humor is often derived from him dying repeatedly.

The characters are fun and almost every single one has very unique designs that stop and make you take notice, though their personalities do seem a bit two dimensional at times (and no I don’t mean in the literal sense cause their anime). The scifi western setting is nothing new especially in anime but, it feels fresh enough and does its job. At the end of the day it’s a fun self-contained little adventure that’s perfect to binge watch when you have a few extra hours of free time.

And if nothing else just listen to the opening music track on repeat to put yourself in a good mood.
