It really is a big deal when I sleep of in the middle of a movie. My minor levels of OCD makes me finish a movie no matter how dull or bad it gets. The only other Movie I remember putting me to sleep so well is Will smith and son’s train-wreck of a movie called ‘After Earth’. But even then I slept of somewhere in the middle.
On the other hand, with Morbius one of the times I slept of was at the climactic moment, that is to say the supposed most exciting part of the movie. When are these Superhero movies going to realize that there is nothing more boring than the hero facing off against a villain with the same power set as them.
And how does this climactic battle end? With Morbius using a Dragonball Z style Kamehameha attack on the Villain using Bats. Now I’m no Zoologist, but I’m pretty sure that’s not how bats work!
It’s Memein’ Time
Honestly, the best thing to come out of this Movie are the memes. Which made the studio believe that people were serious when they called Morbius the greatest Movie of all time. Which prompted them to try and re-releasing the movie in theaters only for it to bomb again. And you know what I say, I say good. Because losing money is the only way these creatively bankrupt studios will learn to stop making movie equivalent of a freaking cardboard sandwich.
Not understanding sarcasm is a handicap
What more can I say but that it was we the people, and the internet that ringed out whatever bit of fun we could from this bland train-wreck. We did it, with the memes and troll and sheer tenacity of keeping this dumb meme going.
I guess you could say that the true Morbin’ time was in us all along.
