Lately I’ve been hearing a lot of negativity towards the MCU. And while superhero fatigue is a real thing and it is true that ever since endgame the MCU has not had a gripping thread going through it anymore, saying that any of the movies are objectively bad would be a stretch. I think we’ve all been spoiled for choice in the modern day and have forgotten that just a decade ago the state of superhero was much, much worse.
So let’s take a trip down memory lane at the actual worst movies that superheroes have to offer
Morbius
Now I know what you’re thinking, Morbius isn’t that old. But that’s exactly why it’s here on this list. Morbius is a movie that transcends time. It’s also the greatest cinematic experience known to man. you’ve heard of Movies that are so bad it’s good, Well Morbius is the reverse. Morbius is a Movie that is so good it loops around to infinity to appear on the worst Movie list.
Miky Morbius saying: “It’s Morbin’ time” will be remembered along with “Rosebud” and lines from the Godfather as one of the greatest cinematic lines of all time.
Now that we have the meme Answer out of the way, Morbius is a stinking pile of Bat-shit that should be remembered by history as the perfect example of just how out of touch the Hollywood dream machine is with its audience. It’s not even badly made but what it is, is painfully generic and soulless.
Daredevil
You know you got to respect the work Ben Affleck put in for his role as Batman. He acted well, gained the muscle and most importantly acted in Daredevil (2003) to make sure that Marvel had one of the worst movies in existence under its belt, In turn making anything DC produced look better in comparison.
Daredevil really was a hot mess, with its ideas of what was cool lagging a decade or two behind. With a load of generic action and barely strung together plot lines, truly the Morbius of its day.
Batman and Robin
Why does this movie Suck. Two words: Bat-Nipples. That is all.
Catwoman
