Sarcastic Movie Review: Logan

As much as I like wolverine the reason he is so beloved is because is often the underdog while facing mega-mutants like Magneto. And for a rival villain on equal footing he already had Sabertooth, which just makes the evil twin X-24 such a clichéd final boss for such an iconic character.

But what really depressed me about going with X-24 is that the evil clone was the one to give the final blow to Professor X, one of the most powerful and respected mutants in the entire X-men universe meets his ends at the hands of knock-off Wolverine.

Still the movie is quite enjoyable, and the dynamic between Logan and the little girl Laura reminded me a lot of the game “the Last of us” even down to the wardrobe and environment. And as anyone who played that game will tell you that is quite a compliment. This just makes it sadder that this good movie could have become one of the greats if it just had some more interesting villains.

Then what do I know, I don’t write for Hollywood. To sum up Wolverine is definitely worth a watch, if for nothing else but to see Hugh Jackman unsheathe his claws and show off his perfect abs for one last time.
