5 animal themed villains Spiderman has had to deal with

Share what the Fox Says:

“Spiderman Spiderman, does whatever a spider can”. Now you’d be lying to me if you say you didn’t sing that in your head. Spiderman is one of the most iconic superheroes out there. With his red and blue suit, relatable issues and snarky comebacks. But another reason for this arachnid based heroes fame is that he has one of the best rouges galleries out there, with villains ranging from all shapes and sizes.

So how did Marvel create so many amazing bad guys for Peter Parker to face off?

By taking a trip to the zoo apparently. Too many of Spidy’s villains have taken the whole spirit animal concept to another level and have based their entire shtick around their creature of choosing

Here are 5 such animal lovers:

Vulture

Let’s start with the guy who’s been making the headlines ever since the New movie: ‘Spiderman Homecoming’ was announced. The Vulture is one of Spidy’s oldest villains appearing first in ‘Amazing Spiderman Vol.2.’ His real name is Adrian Toomes and was a talented business man and electrical engineer who becomes obsessed with flight and creates a wing suit which gave him the ability to fly and super strength.

So why does he call himself the vulture you ask? why not something cooler like the Hawk or Mr.Falcon. Because you see while Adrian was obsessing over his wing suit he got swindled out of his fortunes by his business partners. And he took the mantle of Vulture to take revenge on the ‘corporate vultures’ that betrayed him (God that’s Lame).

But hey, at least they seem to have really updated his looks and resume for the MCU.

be careful who you call ugly in high school

Dr. Octopus

Doctor Otto Octavius was a brilliant nuclear scientist who invented a harness with four mechanical tentacle arms to help with his research. Because this contraption gave him eight limbs he earned the nickname of Doctor Octopus, and because his name already sounded a lot like Octopus (mainly that). But when his science experiment goes wrong it permanently fuses the arms to him and also turns him evil.

Believing himself to have ascended into a superior being he began to terrorize the city until Spiderman puts an end to his diabolical scheme. Doc Ock as his friends/cellmates call him has been a thorn in spidy’s life ever since, as the good Doctor has dedicated his life to destroying Peter. The Doc probably doesn’t like it that he calls himself Spiderman without having eight legs.
