5 Pokemon they should have included in the UK based Galar region

With the release of the Latest Pokemon games: Sword and Shield we are introduced to the Galar region which is based on the United Kingdom. But with the release of these new games we also got the now infamous culling, in which many Pokemon from older generations were no longer available in the new games. This has caused outrage among the fans, as many of their favorite Pokemon’s were no longer available, but perhaps what’s even more baffling is the randomness with which the Pokemon were chosen. 

But taking into account that the Galar region is based on the UK, here are five Pokemon and their evolutions that should have definitely been included in Pokemon sword and shield.

Swabull & Grenbull

Now these are the Pokemon that inspired me to write this article, as you may have noticed, the two dog Pokemon are based on the ever adorable British bulldogs. Emphasis on the BRITISH. See Nintendo it’s right there in the name. You’d think they would be smart enough to put it into the region based on British culture.

Ducklett & Swanna

Ducklett should have been a sure shoe in for the Galar region as every pond in Briton has at least one of these fowls quacking away at night. But the real crime here is the exclusion of Swanna. Fun fact Swans are the national birds of England, and every single swan in the country is officially owned by the queen. You’d think that would be enough reason to include them in the Galar region

Castform

Castform is the weather Pokemon and takes different forms depending on the weather. Now anyone who has lived for even the shortest time in the Uk will tell you just how unpredictable and ever-changing the British weather is. The inclusion of a Pokemon that changes with accordance to the weather would have been a clever nod to that.

Litleo & Pyroar

Now lions are not native to great Briton but the symbolism associated with the lion is ever prevalent in the UK. From the Royal coat of arms of the United Kingdom to the 3 lions symbol used in various British sports jerseys, the lion can be seen everywhere. Which makes the exclusion of litleo and Pyroar a missed opportunity.
