But L slowly began to piece together the evidence that led him to Light. And in a stunning turn of events, L revealed to Light that he knew his true identity. But this was a little too late as Light too discovered L’s true name and used the Death note to end him.

But L did get the final laugh even in death, everything L did revealed Light’s true nature and his identity as Kira to the Police. After a long and hard-fought battle with the police and the FBI, Light is finally cornered. He knows that his end is near, and he desperately tries to escape but is gunned down. In the end, death is the only thing that could catch up to him.
