3. The Harpies

These creatures are said to dwell in the world of the dead, and feast on the flesh of the dead. They are described as having the body of a woman and the wings and talons of a bird. They’re also said to be incredibly foul-tempered, and will attack anyone who gets in their way. They were scavengers that acted as a cross between man and vultures

2. The Gorgons

The Gorgons were three monstrous sisters with snakes for hair and bronze claws. They lived in a dark cave at the end of the world beyond the reach of mortal men. The Gorgons sisters, Medusa, Stheno, and Euryale, who were said to have wings of gold and serpents for hair. These sisters were so hideous that anyone who looked upon them was turned to stone.

The most famous of these sister was Medusa. She had a head of writhing snakes instead of hair, and anyone who looked upon her was turned to stone. She was eventually killed by the hero Perseus, who used her own reflection to avoid looking directly at her.

1. The Kraken

This massive sea creature was said to dwell off the coast of Norway. The Kraken is often described as a giant squid like creature, that could destroy entire ships with ease. It was said to be so large that it could drag ships under the water and devour their crews. It was said to be immune to any weapon, and was feared by all who sailed the seas.
