Unfortunately, supernatural wishes tend to come with the same terms and conditions as a sketchy used-car salesman. What starts almost like a strange romantic comedy gradually mutates into psychological horror.

And that’s what makes Obsession so effective. Beneath all the blood and insanity is a very uncomfortable idea about love, entitlement and the desire to control another person.
